Having grown up on a property full of animals just outside of Canberra, I have decades of experience caring for and loving all species of animals - from horses, cattle, & alpacas to cats, dogs, & chickens. I have always trained and cared for my own pets, and there is no animal I will not look after as if it were my own. Even snakes!
Before Pip’s Pet Sitting became my full-time career, I worked in Veterinary Practices, Performance Stables, and Pet Retail Stores. Around this, I have minded people’s homes and pets for over 15 years, and even lived in Wagga to complete a Bachelor of Equine Science.
This degree covered all aspects of Animal Science before delving into the Equine-specific corresponding topics, including, but not limited to: Animal & Equine Health; Animal & Equine Nutrition; Animal & Equine Behaviour & Training; and Animal & Equine Physiology.
This specialised education perfectly compliments my previous experience in training and caring for my own animals, as well as other people’s homes and their pets.
I can safely promise you that I adore all animals I meet and seem to have a natural, special affinity with them from the very beginning.
And so, with my vast amount of experience, specialist expertise, and natural gift for communicating with them, I proudly offer you the exceptional quality of individually-tailored care that your pet deserves.
We want to make sure that every new boarding dog has the best possible experience with us! To help with this, we offer an overnight trial at half price for all new dogs. This allows us to ensure that we’re the right fit for each other and helps your pup feel comfortable in our care. We’re excited to meet your furry friend and make their stay enjoyable!
We take a small number of dogs into our home with us and our 2 friendly and extremely well-trained dogs. During the day, boarding dogs get a mix of: attending the dog daycare; playing in the backyard; adventure hikes; exploring the family farm; suburban walks; and adequate rest time. Overnight they are individually crated inside in our lounge room to ensure their safety and comfort.
Your pet gets the very best of our care whilst remaining in the comfort of their own home. These include any and all pet care (feeding, cuddling, medicating, cleaning, walking etc.), as well as household chores (mail collection, plant watering, bins in/out etc.) should you want them.
We can come and pick up your cat/dog for boarding and also drop them back home.
If we travel further than 25 minutes to your visit, we charge a travel fee.
